At Matt Holland Fitness we are not believers in rushing things as far as weight management. There are far too many “fad” diets that tell people they will lose 3 stone in a month and other such gimmicks. As soon as the month is over the individual has starved themselves so much that the first slightly unhealthy thing eaten will pile the pounds on again and they will be back to square one. This is why the “slimming” companies are so rich and this is one good reason why there is no such thing as a “diet”. Healthy eating is a lifestyle not a 4 week diet!

Having returned from the USA in 2007 I was nearly 22 stone. It took me 8 months to lose over 5 stone then another 8 months to get down to 13 1/2 stone. I won’t lie, it’s not easy and it takes a great deal of commitment and effort. One important thing to remember though is that you don’t have to sacrifice all of your favourite foods. You won’t be just eating lettuce all day, quite the opposite. It’s all about nutritional balance. What we consume versus how our bodies utilise this and eliminate what we don’t require. This together with regular exercise is the perfect combination to a healthy life.

Matt Holland Fitness’ 12 week Nutrition and Weight Management programme will give you an education not only about what  types of foods are healthy and what are not but also I will give you an insight into what small lifestyle changes you can make to bring a more healthy attitude to your life.

As I said, I don’t believe in rushing weight loss so realistically you will be looking at losing no more than 2lbs a week but because you will have changed your mentality towards what you eat over the 12 week programme you should find it a great deal easier to continue with the good habits you have picked up and the progress you have made .

Remember also that Matt Holland Fitness will be here 100% during the programme to support and advise you.

The two options available are :

  1. A One off Nutritional analysis. This will give you a report on the breakdown of what you are eating. It will breakdown your intake into how much protein, carbohydrates and fat you are consuming as well as the amount of alcohol you consume. You will also be advised on where you are doing well and where you could change things in your diet.
  2. A 12 week monitored course. This is the same as the Nutritional analysis but you will receive 3 reports over the 12 weeks. We will see each other once a week over the 12 weeks where we will talk and breakdown the weekly food diaries .You will also receive complete support and advice along the way.
