All mums to be want to stay in shape during pregnancy and all new mums want to regain their shape as soon as possible after the baby is born. Once you have been given your doctors all clear Matt Holland Fitness will tailor a programme that will cater to your specific needs during pregnancy by taking gentle steps to ensure you and your baby’s safety at all times. Remember the more oxygen that you are taking in during light/moderate exercise the more oxygen will be reaching the baby so promoting two healthier bodies.

After the baby is born there may be several concerns such as excess body fat or weak pelvic floor or abdominal muscles. After you have been given the all clear from your doctor we can start to look at these and other areas for concern and start to build your body back into shape. Also if the birth was given by Cesarian Section then we will start to repair and strengthen the important core muscles that will have been damaged during the birth.

Remember also that post natal exercise is a fantastic way of coping with and overcoming the mental stresses that lead to post natal depression.
