The Benefits of Having a Personal Trainer

So why have a Personal Trainer? The main reason to have a Personal Trainer is for motivation purposes. A lot of people simply don’t have the get up and go to either go to the gym or get out exercising off their own back.

A decent Personal Trainer will be able to communicate with the client and plan a programme that will involve both training with the PT as well as plenty of ‘homework’ to be done during the rest of the week. Of course motivation isn’t the only reason why people choose a PT. There are a great many reasons. A lot of people simply don’t have a clue how to exercise correctly or what foods they should be eating. Some people go to a PT to help with self confidence issues. Some want to develop a routine in their lifestyle. Some have been injured and are seeking a continuation of their rehab….The list goes on!

Many Personal Trainers will guarantee results through their training programmes. At Matt Holland Fitness we don’t guarantee results as such, we will, however, give you the tools, both with the training and nutrition advice, to ensure you start to see differences in the way you look, the way you feel and the way your clothes fit etc. We also expect that the client will keep their end of the bargain and stick to the advice we give them. If the advice is followed, then don’t worry, the results will come.

Although the pros heavily outweigh the cons, there are a number of things to look at from the other side. Of course Personal Training can be expensive. We offer block packages starting at under £30 per session which we believe make things very competitively priced. Time constraints might also be a factor so you should make sure if you’re going to start with a PT that you commit to the time it takes to achieve your body aims. We do charge for sessions cancelled inside 24hrs of the session, so if you feel that you can’t commit then this might not be for you. It’s important also to make sure that your PT is fully qualified and insured. At Matt Holland Fitness we are fully qualified, insured and First Aid qualified.
